Cooking Class Testimonials:
“My daughter loved the class and came home and made dinner for the family! That’s never happened before! She made fajitas with what we had available and it was amazing. Last night she made corn bread. Following written directions is one of her challenges in school so we are thrilled she’s interested in cooking and therefore reading/following the directions on the recipe or box. Not to mention its fabulous to have dinner or anything else made by someone other than me! ??? Thank you so much for your class.
– Lisa from Georgetown
“I’m so thrilled my picky eater (Matthew) not only made and ate this (pupusas) but loved it! He and Emma want to “teach me” how to make it this weekend. What a great program! Thank you!”
– Taylor from Cedar Park
Birthday Party Testimonials:
“I loved this birthday party for Alyssa! It was so easy to plan. Working with Leah, was easy, she took everything and ran with it. The party was efficient and my husband and I got to sit back and enjoy it. It was ran so well. One of my favorite parts was the kids getting to make pizzas and having the hands on experience while being taught lessons about healthy foods and vegetables….reinforcing what we always tell them as parents. Having somebody else telling them is always really good!”
– Danielle from Leander
School Enrichment Testimonials:
“Besides being a joy to work with, Leah is a take-charge person who is able to present creative ideas and communicate the benefits. She has successfully implemented the Kids Kitchen Program at the Twin Lakes Family YMCA.”
– Carley LaRue Kriscke, Health and Fitness Director, Twin Lakes Family YMCA
“The students were very engaged in the presentation and were allowed to touch, smell, taste, create, and finally eat the vegetables. All the presentations (12 of them for 900 students) ran smoothly due her diligent preparation. Our school staff members, PTA members, students, and parents were very pleased with the outcome. I give Leah and Kids Kitchen my highest recommendations and our PTA has already invited her back for next year.”
– Laura Hatcher, Patsy Sommer PTA Healthy Lifestyles Chair
“At Gateway College Preparatory School the students love Kids Kitchen. The children are very excited each week to go to their club and make different edible goodies. The students go to after-school when they are finished with Kids Kitchen and want to have their friends as well as the teachers taste the many different exciting items that they made while at cooking class. Each week the kids make new recipes and learn how they can make them at home as well. A young girl that is in the club once said “Cooking club is so fun, I’m going to make what we made today for my grandparents when they come to visit!” This is a delightful club and the children really enjoy what they learn as well as the experience. I would definitely recommend this club to any other school that is interested in establishing it for an afterschool activity.”
