Summer Camp – Snack Attack / July 17 – 20 / 9am – 12pm

In this afternoon camp, campers learn how to be creative and healthy when making snacks. Recipes might include snacks such as fruit leather, popcorn, pizza and more. Camp days will include cooking, crafting and time outside (weather permitting).
Monday – Thursday
We welcome all levels of Kid Chefs to our cooking classroom. Kids Kitchen equips all levels of cooks with culinary skills to create nutritionally balanced, colorful, and flavorful recipes.
Kids Kitchen specializes in cooking utensils specific for kids, and recipes that intrigue curious cooks yet appealing to the more limited eaters. Kids will get their hands wet, messy, and crumbly with lots of hands on experience, and each session covers a variety of food groups, cooking techniques, and styles of recipes.
Each cooking lesson integrates healthy eating habit principles and interesting nutrition facts.
*If your child requires a special dietary restriction due to allergy or intolerance, please let us know and we can accommodate our recipes to reflect this need! We can also accommodate an entire group for allergen free classes and workshops.
As a group, we will prepare the foods and complete 3 recipes.
Children will use knives and cutting boards and get to chop, cut, slice, wash, mix, stir, whisk, shake, blend, pour, and/or measure foods. We only use natural and nutritious ingredients, using lots of whole foods.
At the end of each day, all participants will sample the food they made. We usually have time to play a quick game or complete an art project too!
All recipes will be available on our website and/or in print after the camp.
